L&T’s Kattupalli facility is in Tamil Nadu on India’s east coast, near Chennai. The facility holds a mega shipyard for shipbuilding as well as retrofitting and conversions. The facility also holds an export-oriented Modular Fabrication Facility (MFF) established in 2010; the location of the MFF opens up access to the Offshore oil & gas fields of the Krishna & Godavari basin and South East Asia.
The spectrum of capabilities at the Facility include Modular solutions in the Oil & Gas sector for Offshore shallow water modules – Jackets & Topsides, Deep-water modules – PLET / PLEM / ILT / Jumpers, FPSO units, Sub-sea pipelines (Reeling Spool base), Onshore PAR / PAU / PAM modules, Heaters, Reformers, Skids, Equipment, Piping Spools, Structures and also foundations & modules for Offshore Wind Farms.
MFF-Kattupalli offers round the year delivery capability with all-weather sail-away facility, with very minimal tidal variations and robust QHSE performance. It is equipped with state-of-the-art infrastructure and machinery for operational and logistic flexibility to deliver complex modules duly tested / pre-commissioned prior to delivery.
It is certified to ISO 9001, ISO 29001, ISO 14001 & OHSAS 18001, ISO 50001 and has a certificate of authority to use API monogram for products manufactured as per specifications API 2B and also authorised to use ASME U, U2, S and NBBI R, NB Stamps & EN 1090-1&2 and CE marking.
