Social Media Contest Terms & Conditions

These are the Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) of ‘L&T Independence Day Quiz Contest’ (“Contest”) organized by Larsen & Toubro Limited (“L&T”) through its social media presence on Twitter. This Contest is voluntary.

Eligibility:

• The Contest is open to participants in India only aged above 18 years or over on the Contest start date.
• By participating in this Contest, each participant agrees that he/she has read and understood these T&C’s and by their participation in the Contest, each participant agrees to be bound by the T&Cs. Mere participation should not be perceived as any commitment on the part of L&T to select a participant as the winner. By participating in this Contest, the participants also agree and confirm that they are legally eligible to participate in this Contest and are of such legally permissible age.
• Participants will be required to submit a valid residential address within India, mobile number, email ID and Twitter Account.
• L&T reserves the right to disqualify any participation entry from the Contest
  • (a) If it has been done from fake Twitter account; and/or
  • (b) If it contains profanity, obscene content or spamming; and/or
  • (c) If it contains material that violates, misappropriates, or infringes upon privacy of the third party; and/or if it contains material that is unlawful, in violation of or contrary to the laws or regulations; and/or 
  • (d) If it contains material that promotes bigotry, racism and hatred or hurts sentiments of any group or individual or in any way promotes discrimination based on race, gender, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation or age; and/or 
  • (e) If it disparages any person or entity; and/or 
  • (f) For any other reason considered appropriate by L&T.
• Participation in the Contest will be deemed as acceptance of these T&C and the same shall be legally binding on the participant.

 Submission of Entries:

• Participants must be using a valid Twitter Account to particpate.
  • Participants must follow @larsentoubro.
  • Participants must retweet the Contest Question tweet they are answering.
  • Participants must tweet their answer entry to @larsentoubro using the quiz hashtag #LnTBuildingIndiaQuiz.
  • There shall be one winner per question. Multiple answers to the same question by a single participant are not allowed. Participants take full responsibility of the entries shared by them.

Contest Duration:

• The duration of the Contest is from 11:59 am on 9th August, 2021 to 11:59 pm on 13th August, 2021.

Prizes: 

• L&T shall have the sole discretion in selecting the winners from all eligible entries received.
• Each winner will be awarded with a copy of ‘The Nationalist’ book.
• Five winners will be announced through a Tweet approximately two to four days after the end of the Contest - and will also be informed through their Twitter handle.
• Prizes are decided by L&T. The decision of L&T in this regard shall be deemed as final and no correspondence will be entertained by L&T with regard to the same. Prizes are offered on 'NO EXCHANGE, NO REFUND' basis. The Prize cannot be exchanged for any monetary value.
• Winners shall be required to provide their proof of identity, proof of address and any other document as may be required and specified by L&T, within one (1) day from the date of announcement on Twitter thereof.
• If the winner cannot be contacted through their Twitter handle and/or fails to comply with the requirements specified herein above and/or is identified as minor, then he/she shall be deemed to have waived the claim to the prize and upon which, without any further notice, the prize will be forfeited. L&T reserves the right to choose alternate winner in such cases.
• L&T holds the right to publish the winner names through any medium/channel.

General Terms and Conditions:

• Participant hereby agrees that all content herein is the sole property of L&T and/or its quiz partners.
• The participant(s) hereby give express permission to L&T & its affiliates to freely use and distribute in any manner and through any medium their submissions and content thereof as entered by them in this Contest.
• Participant hereby waives all rights to any claim against L&T or its affiliates and quiz partners for any alleged or actual infringement of any proprietary rights, rights of privacy and publicity, moral rights, and rights of attribution in connection with such information.
• Materials/content sent/submitted with L&T including feedback and other communications of any kind as well as submission of an entry to this Contest shall be deemed to be non-confidential. L&T shall be free to reproduce, distribute and publicly display such feedback, materials without limitation or obligation of any kind. L&T is also free to use any ideas, concepts, know-how or techniques contained in such submissions or materials for any purpose. Participants agree and confirm that such submissions and any content/material included therein does not breach intellectual and/or proprietary rights of any third party.
• No person shall be entitled to use L&T’s logo, brand name, word mark or trademarks to promote any products and/or for any reason whatsoever on Twitter platform and/or any other platform, without the prior written permission from L&T.
• L&T will not be responsible and liable for acceptability, suitability, delivery, service, defects, deficiency, performance, or quality of the services /products/prize provided under the Contest.
• L&T and its affiliates and quiz partners shall not be liable to you or any third party for any claims related to your termination from the quiz.
• Incomplete information provided or failure to provide true and accurate information as stated in these terms and conditions, failure to submit proof of identification and/or original confirmation number upon collection of the Prize will automatically disqualify the participant. L&T shall have the absolute and sole discretion to determine whether any participant should be disqualified by reason of failure to abide by these terms and conditions, bad faith, fraud or any other legitimate reason.
• L&T reserves the right to cancel the Contest and/or amend the T&C without notice. Any changes to the T&C, or cancellation of the Contest, will be posted on the Twitter Handle of L&T (https://twitter.com/larsentoubro) and it will be the responsibility of the participants to keep themselves apprised of the same.
• Disputes, if any, will be subject to Indian laws and shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in India.
• By entering the Contest, participants indemnify L&T and any of their respective parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, officers, employees and agencies from any liability whatsoever, and waive any and all causes of action, related to any liability, claims, costs, injuries, losses, or damages of any kind arising out of or in connection with the Contest.
• Participants are solely responsible for any expenses incurred in participating in the quiz or in the acceptance and use of the prizes. L&T shall not be responsible for any loss or damages suffered by the winners while availing the offer.
• This Contest is not sponsored, endorsed, administered, directed, or affiliated in any way by Twitter. However, by using and interacting through Twitter handle the participants will be bound by the terms, conditions and policies of Twitter, including privacy and data gathering practices.
