L&T’s TEEVRA 40 naval turret system is designed to provide a well-proven and reliable weapon (Bofors 40 L70 gun) in the form of a high-technology solution with innovative features. The system provides precision fire power capability, high operational flexibility along with high survivability. Automation with in-built safety features ensures excellent operator protection.
Salient Features:
- Remotely-operated unmanned stabilized turret: The fully stabilized turret combined with control station with ready to plug interface offers easy and seamless integration with existing ship CMS and provides an effective command and control of the system.
- Electro-Optic Sight enabled target acquisition: A state-of-the-art sighting system provides the operator with intensified scanning and target acquisition capability.
- Automatic target tracking and gun laying: The system has the ability to automatically track an acquired and selected target and lay the gun at a forward position dynamically for an effective engagement.
- Digital ballistic computing solution: The ballistic computation takes place digitally in real-time and increases the accuracy of fire.
- 76 ready-to-fire rounds: The quantity of ammunition available in ready-to-fire condition is sufficient to carry out multiple engagements.
- Day and night, all-weather operation: The system is designed to perform effectively and is agnostic to all weather conditions.
- In-built health monitoring system: A sophisticated health monitoring process continuously screens the system for any minor or major faults and maintains a fault history for simplified diagnosis and maintenance.
- Safety & maintenance: Dedicated safety module near the turret with in-built hardware and software based features ensure safety of man and machine. An off-mount maintenance module is provided near the turret for ease of maintenance.
