Scania
Scania is a Swedish-based organization with over 125 years of expertise in manufacturing technology. It is a leading manufacturer of on-road/off-road trucks as well as industrial/marine engines. In India, Scania is represented by Larsen & Toubro, who has been the authorized exclusive distributor of Scania products since 2007 for supply in the Mining and Construction segments. L&T has successfully ushered in Scania technology and helped establish credibility and a strong customer base. Today, Scania Tipper Trucks are deployed in various jobsites which includes OB removal in coal mines, iron ore and limestone segments. In 2011, Scania Commercial Vehicles India Pvt. Ltd. came into being to expand its presence in the Asian market by establishing a modern truck assembly facility in Narsapura, Karnataka. Scania, along with L&T, has established specialist workshops at major jobsites to carry out repairs/refurbishment of driveline assemblies. Scania’s Central Warehouse in Nagpur extends Parts support to fleet owners across the country.
